KDrama - Ghost

When I first came across this Korean drama I though it would be some kind of ghost related thing, but that wasn't even close to the truth. At first I was unimpressed by the plot because I though it would be just another typical police series and the usual crime solving stuff. As I continued through the first episode, I changed my mind very quickly because it was nothing like a typical police series. It was innovative, modernized and very interesting version of the former.
The plot follows a very specific group of policemen dealing with cyber crimes. The cases they dealt with throughout 20 episodes of this series all slowly came together to form the big picture and the true bad guy behind the scenes. The process that lead to discovering and keeping new evidence was somewhat intense and full of all sorts of obstacles, some even hard to believe.
Connections between main characters switch between clear and very blurry and sometimes it's hard to figure out who are the good guys. The line between what is right and what is not was very thin, but the most important part was keeping it calm and cool no matter how intense things got.
In the end it became clear that the main motivation of the "villain" was pure and simple revenge. The case with almost every revenge seeking character usually is that they get blinded by revenge which is their own undoing. Too blinded to see that not everyone was corrupt... It cost more than he could have ever imagined. It was just too much to bare... Guess it had to end in the same way as it had begun.
Ghost is an excellent Korean drama. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good detective, mystery, crime drama. Watching it was made me look forward to every new episode that came out! In the midst of all that mystery and tragedy they managed to incorporate comedy and romance parts very successfully. Ghost is a very interesting, fun and never ever boring Korean drama with a great ending!
