Anime Movies - Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker (Dragon Age: Blood Mage no Seisen)

This anime movie has interesting animation. Something between computer graphics and reality. It sure gave this movie a unique appearance. The second thing I noticed was that there was a considerable amount of politics involved in the plot. Either than that it's a pretty much basic fantasy with dragons, knights and mages. One of the interesting and cool things is that the main hero is actually a girl which is not a very common thing for this genre. Maybe it's just an added bonus which gives this anime movie additional charm. The conspiracy theme as well as the action scenes that continue throughout the whole movie will keep you interested and on edge. The ending was interesting and reminded me more of a game when you get to the end and just need to defeat the final boss before you clear it. Don't know why, but those final bosses always tend to be some kind of a huge monster. An additional bonus is the movies' theme song "Until the Last Day" which is sung by Gackt who also borrowed his voice to the character of knight-commander.

Plot

In the land of Orlais, a brash young Seeker—Cassandra—fights to stop a blood-soaked conspiracy. Hidden hands seek to tear apart the realm's most powerful religious order, and as the sinister plot unfolds, Cassandra is accused of treason and murder. Hunted by friend and foe alike, the impulsive beauty must clear her name while clashing with corrupt templars and rogue blood mages. Should she fail, the executioner’s blade awaits. Should she overcome her rage and expose the unseen forces threatening the rule of the Divine, Cassandra will take her place in legend.
