Asian Movies - High School Debut

I recently came across this movie while I was bored and hanging out at youtube. At first I thought it was a JDrama since it was chopped up into pieces. After a first few parts I figured out it was actually a movie.

High school Debut very much reminded me of Nobuta wo Produce JDrama. It was the first thought that came to mind when I saw Haruna beg You to be her teacher. Watching her make a fool out of herself all the time was kinda fun, but it was also refreshing watching a person be herself without any guilt. I guess after all the trouble of trying to adapt her to the society, You realized that she's perfect just the way she is. It was really nice watching a love story unfold in such a short time, since it is a movie and not a JDrama, they did an excellent job of fitting everything in this movie in a perfect way.

If you like to watch school-love themed Asian movies/Dramas you will most certainly love this one. I highly recommend it!

Plot:

Haruna Nagashima (Ito Ono) devoted herself to softball while in middle school. Now that she is in high school, Haruna believes its time find a boyfriend. Unfortunately for Haruna, she didn't pay attention to trends and is now clueless on how to attract a boy. Through a fortuitous event, Haruna encounters popular upperclassman You Komiyama (Junpei Mizobata) Haruna asks You to teach her how to become attractive to boys. You agrees but with one catch. She can't fall in love with him...

Takeru seems to be the odd one out this time.
He sure has a difficult personality.
Yui was having trouble with persuading him.
Going one on one with him was interesting to watch.
Guess everyone melts eventually...
Damn, that Zeus can really be a pain sometimes.
I'm glad the whole class decided to make a stand.


One Piece

Episode 643

Law got himself in a middle of serious trouble.
Issho, Law and Doflamingo, that's gonna be one hell of a fight.
Wish they would stop prolonging its start.
Seems like everyone was having problems of their own.
Luffy and the arena part was fun!
It looks like he wasn't even serious about it ^^
He was just having fun and enjoying himself.


Gokukoku no Brynhildr

Episode 5

This is slowly turning into a harem.
I just hope the story doesn't suffer because of it.
More info about Neko this time.
That's always nice!
Kotori, the spy, put up a pretty good act.
Wonder if she's just that good or just an airhead..
Well, at least the astronomy club did same actual club activities.
Kana's forecasts were rather weird this time.
AA+ type sure is scary and dangerous..


Haikyuu!!

Episode 5

Tanaka & Hinata gloating was fun ^^
It was a good match.
So, finally, they made the team.
The typical cartoon sound at 10th minute was a nice surprise.
The upcoming practice match should be a blast.
Can't wait to see that!
Hinata sure was feeling the pressure..


Yowamushi Pedal

Episode 30

They're gonna have to spill a lot of sweat to make it work.
Another 2 on 2 race.
There's a lot at stake this time.
Flashbacks were interesting.
Another short background story about the riders.
This race was particularly exhausting.
Imaizumi practically died... but it was fun ^^
This race is intense beyond belief!
Can't wait to see who won.


Black Bullet

Episode 5

Rentaro & Enju doing some training.
That girl is impressive ^^
It was kinda weird seeing those two do a bodyguard job.
After all the craziness with Gastrea.
Guess people have their own level of crazy too.
Satomi seems to be collecting lolis LOL


Hunter x Hunter

Episode 128

We lost a great guy...
It's a shame for Netero.
Looks like some are lucky to get another chance at life.
Guess it's not that easy to get rid of the king.
There was a lot of weirdness in the first half.
He came back stronger and scarier.
Pouf sure came up with a devious plan fast.
Things should get really interesting from now on.


Naruto Shippuuden

Episode 361

I'm glad this is the last filler episode.
Even though this filler session wasn't that bad.
It was nice to see a lot of Kakashi.
This was a really nice story.
How Naruto, Sasuke & Sakura ended up with Kakshi as sensei.
Some of it was new and some was not.
From Kakashi's perspective, things looked slightly different.
Good ending of the fillers.

JGames - Love Revo (Otometemeki Koi Kakumei Love Revo) (NDS)

I was looking for a PC version of this game, but could only find NDS version with English translation. At first I was a bit disappointed since NDS has small screens and the quality of graphics is not nearly as good as on PC. Well, since that was my only option, I decided to give it a try.

The story of this dating sim is a bit unusual when you compare to e.g. Tokimeki series. The heroine is an overweight girl who decided to change her life after a few hot guys moved in her apartment building. Here is were the struggle with exercising, school and dating begins.

Honestly, I was surprised how time flied by while I was playing this game. It totally sucked me in and I just couldn't stop playing it. Although the story doesn't sound like much, it's really interesting and fun helping out the heroine get her hot guy. As I usually do in this type of games I went straight for the hottest and hardest to win guy, Ichinose Ren. It took me about 8-9 hours to finish his route. Of course, I got the happy end and I was surprised how happy I was after I got it. Guess this game really draws you in.

All in all, I spent a fun few hours playing it. Sadly, the NDS version can't give you all the beauty of the bonus images that you get at the end of the route due to small screen size. It's a shame no one translated the PC version. Enjoy!

That's not like him at all.
Guess it's 'cause he wasn't enjoying it..
All he needed was Maki to fire him up ^^
It was inspiring watching them race each other to the top!

Black Bullet

Episode 4

Satomi vs the masked man!
Seems like Satomi has been through a lot in the past.
His limbs do look kinda cool though.
That fight was a bit too much for him.
Using the last resort was risky, but worth it.
It sure was an awesome fight!
Guess there are always some other battles to fight.
There are a lot of questions about Gastrea too..
That still remains a mystery.


Hunter x Hunter

Episode 127

Damn, what a blast!
Shame about Netero...
It was nice to see Ikalgo, Killua, Palm & others together again.
Gon's waiting has finally come to an end.
I'm glad Komugi is ok now.
Pitou was kinda frozen and scared.
Youpi and Pouf's reactions were priceless.
The aftermath episode was really good.


Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin

Episode 4

New episode started with a blast.
Power really corrupts people.
The more power they have, more cruel they get.
Stupidity and blindness come arm in arm with power as well.
Guess glasses guy learned that the hard way.
All is well that ends well..
Have a feeling all that could've been resolved the easy way.
But then some of them wouldn't have learned their lesson.
Tensai really is a great person to have on your side.
There's also more to Juugo than meets the eye.


Akuma no Riddle

Episode 5

School play?
Wtf is going on here.
Seems like school life is topping the assassins part.
Well, at least some of them got pretty fired up about it.
Haru, girl, why are you so naive...
Even though she knows that other girls are trying to kill her..
At least Azuma is getting a nice workout 'cause of it.
I was a bit surprised to see a direct attack like that, but it was fun.


Jojo Stardust Crusaders

Episode 5

That new guy, Pierre has an interesting Stand.
It sure was a hot fight!
And not an easy one either.
Guess he was just another victim of Dio.
So our team gets another member ^^
This Stand thing is pretty interesting.
That's why I love Jojo anime.
It never disappoints when it come to action.
Great episode!
OMG! The End theme is awesome.

Escha & Logy no Atelier

Episode 4

Escha is just hopeless when it comes to certain things.
This time it's a more relaxed episode.
Well, at least those two witches joined them more permanently.
Escha's tail got a lot of attention ^^
It is a fun and interesting thing too.
Escha's childhood got some attention too.
It would be fun to learn more about her mother.
Fun episode!


Fairy Tail

Episode 5

It's nice to see Fairy Tail in 1st place.
Lamia Scale is pretty close tough.
Sting unintentionally become the Master.
But his situation was not that simple.
When you crush one evil, another immediately takes its place.
Good old fashioned blackmail is omnipresent.
Well, at least Sting got the motivation needed to get serious.
Natsu & Co. are still dealing with their own problems.
It doesn't look like that will get solved anytime soon.
Things got actually worse for them too..
Well, at least there are some interesting fights ahead.

Watching Black Class taking mid-terms is just weird.
For a second there it makes you forget it's a class full of assassins.
Haru is so naive...
Being the only normal girl there, she just seems kinda weird.
Tokaku managed to save her ass a couple of times too.
That advance notice thing is unusual, but sort of noble.
At least she knows when she's being targeted.
Kaminaga was doing her best to complete the mission.
With Tokaku as Haru's watch dog that was impossible.
Another great episode!


Jojo's Stardust Crusaders

Episode 4

Trouble on a plane.
Guess they can't travel anywhere in peace lol
Somehow, everyone has a Stand now.
Well, at least that makes things more interesting.
That one bug sure was giving them a world of trouble.
They have to make new travel plan now..


Fairy Tail

Episode 4

Gray vs Rufus!
He rushed into that fight head on.
Rufus looked like he was playing with him.
Guess Gray didn't thought things through.
It was reckless to use up all his moves right from the start.
Defeating Rufus demands a carefully thought out plan.
His memorizing ability is a really dangerous one.
Showing Natsu & others and interrupting that fight was not a good move.
They should've done it differently.
Well, it was nice to see Gray managed to pull himself together.


Kamigami no Asobi

Episode 4

Club activities this time.
Watching them tackle different activities was priceless ^^
Hades seems to be the most mysterious character.
I'm glad Yui decided to be stubborn with him this time.
Guess misfortune really follows Hades around.
No wonder he keeps his distance... poor guy.
I'm glad he finally opened up a bit ^^
Really nice episode!


One Piece

Episode 642

Looks like Violet does have some feelings for Sanji.
Law & Caesar walked right into a trap..
Donflamingo, Law, Caesar & the Navy in the same place.
That should be one epic fight.
Luffy finally got his chance in the arena.
He wasn't having any trouble at all, as expected!
It was fun watching him fight with ease ^^


Haikyuu!!

Episode 4

Kageyama's attitude backfired in the past.
Lets hope he won't make the same mistake again.
It was fun watching that match.
Hinata's persistence never ceases to amaze me.
Watching him play is very inspiring.
Hinata & Kageyama make an awesome team!
Those two have a really good influence on each other.
Great episode!


Gokukoku no Brynhildr

Episode 4

So when they dispose of them, they turn into goo.
Damn, they put some creepy stuff into those girls.
Kuroneko & Murakami just barely made it back in time.
Still, they didn't bring back a lot of pills...
It's kinda weird since they did attack the factory where they make them.
Kana seems to be hiding an interested little secret.
Not everything is as it seems at first glance.
Didn't expect to see a fan service part yet.
A new transfer student cliche has appeared.
Things are getting dangerous.


Break Blade

Episode 3

Athens vs Krishna.
Zess and his little squad are not to be taken lightly.
They aren't gonna give up either.
Krishna is in deep problems from multiple sides.
Flashbacks were nice and helped to understand the story better.
Rygart and Zess, opposites in every way.
Such a shame they aren't on the same side...
This is a mecha anime worth watching.

Episode 4

The action scenes are awesome.
Rygart's mecha is amazing!
The emotional side stories of the past are nice too.
They explain connections between the characters.
Rygart isn't a fight loving type.
All he wants are all his friends back together in peace.
